Me (as a baby) and my Mom flew into LA when this was kicking off. Imagine being a young white mother with a 15 month old trying to get out of LAX and to the hotel during this.

I was with a friend in his garage installing a lift kit in my '77 FJ40 and listening to KROQ when Reginald Denny got the shite beat out of him.
The DJ came on after a song and told everyone to stay away from Florence and Normandy, the intersection where they stopped his truck.
There are still vacant plots of land where the buildings burnt down but they didn't rebuild.
