They did not know that Hamas would attack on October 7th. I don't think the Israeli government should have allowed Hamas to govern Gaza but the attack is all the justification they need to eliminate Hamas by any means necessary.

Israel intentionally propped up radical islamists Hamas to sabotage the Palestinians. They knew they would never be granted international support being led by them. Israel reaped what they sowed and don’t deserve any sympathy. Anyone with a brain knew something like this would happen and will continue to happen as long as they treat them like dogs.

Learn your history baw. The first three wars Israel fought were under these circumstances. Most western european nations were actively fighting and blocking weapons and funding for Israel and Israel stomped their enemies.
