An FBI official and a source familiar confirmed the search to News Nation, The Hill’s sister network. Bolton was not detained and has not been charged with any crimes, The Associated Press reported.
The search is related to classified documents, two sources told NewsNation.
Upon returning to office, Trump pulled Bolton’s security clearance. The president also revoked Bolton’s Secret Service protection.
Attorney General Pam Bondi responded to Patel’s Friday morning X post, writing, “America’s safety isn’t negotiable. Justice will be pursued. Always.”
During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” on Aug. 10, Bolton was asked whether he was concerned about being targeted by the Trump administration.
“Well, I think he’s already come after me and several others in withdrawing the protection that we had,” Bolton told Jonathan Karl.
“So I think, and I said in the — in the new forward to the paperback edition of my book, I think it is a retribution presidency,” he added.

NY post is reporting it is part of a years long investigation involving not just classified documents, but the dispersal of said documents to media outlets

He recently 'implied' sources regarding the recent Ukr-Russia talks as a talking head.
Thus, they are either going to find material and a leaker or out him as a liar when he makes up those sources.

Is it CNN or MSNBC that Bolton was on as an expert regarding the Putin summit?
I see the FBI going through a huge harvest and cutting the rotten low hanging fruit. I hope they get ladder trucks and clean all the top rotten fruit out.
I think Schiff thinks he is protected because he is a senator. If Comey, Brennan are on MSNBC, CNN, with peppermint patti-- talking about this. I hope their homes are raided LIVE on air.
I pray that Comey, Clapper, Lisa, Peter and Brennan are all put in Capone's cell with leg irons frog marched...Just like they did Peter Navarro.
I hope one of them live off the water with a dock and frogmen assist in their arrest.
