I can't go into the details but do not let your pregnant wife take the vaccine. It is damaging fetuses more than they let on. Anti-virals will do that.

Many companies have been forced to grudgingly accept religious exemption requests, even though they said they wouldn’t.

Is she an employee of the university itself? If there is “state action” there could be a constitutional claim. Unfortunately she may have to be fired to raise it. Either way, she would have to sue UK to enforce the right.

If she wants to try to handle it internally -Religious exemption request is the way to go. Because she’s pregnant, she could seek a medical exemption; what does her doctor say? I’m assuming she’s already applied for both types of exemption - and gotten denied.

From what I understand UK has taken quite a hardline on its mandates.

ETA - I agree with the other posters who tell her not to quit. She would be unable to bring a wrongful termination claim if she quit (or it would be harder to do).

Also, I like the other poster’s suggestion of getting FMLA leave. No matter what she needs to get her doctor to help her with this.

I’m a woman and an attorney and no way in hell would I get that shot if I were pregnant. They have no idea if it will harm the baby, or long term effects. Further, I’ve heard anecdotally that it leads to miscarriage.

If you are religious, you could go that route.

A friend of ours said he prayed about it, and God was telling him not to get the vaccine.

He may have gotten a note from his pastor.

What does her ob/gyn think? I know early on pregnancy was considered high risk. Hopefully, she has an ob/gyn she can trust.

If you can find a doctor to write a medical exemption.

Good luck!

I started my religious exemption with this:

I am asserting my right to a religious accommodation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S. Code § 2000e), which prohibits discrimination against a sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance. The Louisiana constitution provides the same protection in Article 1, Section 8.

Right or not my boss approved it and so did the facility where she has a contract that I provide services.

Good luck. I’m a woman and no way on Gods green earth would I take that while pregnant.

Update: For clarification she works for a company subcontracted out through the university. She called her main boss to complain about this nonsense and it turns out the university isn’t going to enforce the mandate so the company she works for isn’t going to either. We went to the baby dr on Thursday which is the same day they had a meeting about it. She’s fortunate, for now, but you never know what will happen in the future. I feel for anyone that is having their job leveraged. It’s not right. We’ve been against jab for our own personal reasons and forcing it on anyone is just plain wrong. And never in a million years would her or I risk our little boys safety. I also wanted to say I appreciate y’all and I hope only good things for everyone of you. This board is the best!

Really glad to hear that. I have a friend who also has a different circle of friends. Theee people in the circle were pregnant .. two took the vaccine and had miscarriages. Not sure if the took it before conception or after but either way .. 2/3 is a pretty high miscarriage rate.

Yeah they’ve been good about keeping her from doing too much in the mean time but she will wear that title as a badge of honor lol

No offense taken. It’s not the best paying job for what they expect. When our son is born and when we get to a comfortable enough spot for her she’s planning on leaving for something better.

Not in the least but fortunately they aren’t going to enforce it. The weird thing I noticed in the letter, if they did enforce it, it states that if she didn’t get the vaccine she’d be voluntarily forfeiting her employment. Idk how that’s even a possibility lol

There’s definitely something to it. I have a close friend whose wife had a miscarriage this last year but I’m not sure if it was vaccine related bc I didn’t want to pry but she’s in the medical field and she had to get the shot at some point. Just not sure when or how many boosters she’s gotten either.

She should stand her ground. If she gets fired, she should get another job. If she can't get another job, she should stay at home with the kid. If you can't afford that, sell all the shite you have that is keeping you from doing that. Is your mortgage too much? How many car notes do you have? What's more important, stuff and going out to eat or the your wife and kids future?

Federal court just ruled the vaccine mandates are not lawful. They won’t fire her cause they know they will be sued.

Her doctor should be able to give her an exemption because she is pregnant.

I don't think the vaccine is recommended for fetuses.

Not lawful for OSHA to mandate. Private companies (assuming this is a private school) can institute the exact same policy on their own if they choose.

PROTECT YOUR BABY AND WIFE AT ALL COST! They have done NO STUDIES on how this poison impacts pregnant women or babies!
I will be dead in the road before my children (or me) take that jab…
