Three points to counter this ridiculous statement, that will hopefully make a small dent in her brainwashing:
(1). Yes they do. People have a right to say anything generally. It doesnt make them right, and if people say something hateful and wrong it can be countered, but freedom of speech means just that.
(2). The conservative right isnt saying things to just harm other people. Now, the right isnt perfect, but neither is the left. Both have some good ideas, and both put forth bad ideas that may be harmful to certain groups. But to think the political right are exclusive to saying things that are harmful is just false.
And (3). Lack of diversity of opinions and ideas is far more harmful to people than words themselves. That opens things up to tyranny and abuse of power that is good for no one.

1) "May" is an incredibly weak starting point.
2) Define "harm". Ask for credible examples.

Ok, at one point I thought I was going to marry a very liberal woman. She was intelligent, great body, fearless in discussion and in bed. 5’4 redhead with C cups. Generally my type minus the hyper liberal stuff. So here is what I did. I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 years together and wished her the best when it was over. It just wasn’t going to work out for us. We both sorta knew it but everything else was great. It ended when she started setting political rules that were unacceptable. She dropped hints about guns at my apartment, and fishing for sport being wrong, and finally it was meat didn’t have to be part of every meal. I wasn’t going to change and she wasn’t ready to.
My advice, enjoy it til it’s not working anymore. When it’s not working don’t be a dick about.
