Was McCain a great American in 2000 or 2008? democrats are the ones that pointed out he was a showboat before a war hero and dissed him worse than anybody. Ya'll even made fun of his middle name and bashed the hell out of him.

He was great because he was a brave Navy pilot and I respect military officers and enlisted men and women, a public servant that was conservative and always drove legislation to support security, free market economics, co-authored immigration legislation that would have worked, worked bi-partisan on decent bills, had the guts to thumb down a disasteros health care plan . and was a protitype Republican before the party was gijacked by the Alt Right.

He started the disaster by playing a joke. He started the engines in his jet by overloading them with fuel so it would blast flames out the back when they ignited. He did it to startle the pilot behind him.
What it did as false start a missle on that aircraft and it almost sank the whole ship.
