The Patriot Act was common sense in the same regard that criminal profiling is, cw. Monitoring specific individuals who fit an statistical probability is not only economically efficient, but it is moral in the sense that it saves the lives of innocents.
I'm glad that a computer can go through everybody's conversations and sort out the potential bad guys per their words, and then notify honest Professionals who can then look further into said individual's motivation and their potential to do harm.
The critical difference is, that if an Obama "Professional" is following up on the Computer profile notification...then Craig Sawyer would be the threat....but Awan/Muslim Brotherhood would not! F that! Anybody that can not see the difference between those two...don't want to. For reason obvious to them that CAN see.
The arguing and Lawyering is damn near over. Thomas Sowell spelled it out. When people disagree on First Principle...dialogue and rational argument are impotent. Think State of Israel and the Palestinian Cause.

Scary times we live in. As a peace loving man this sort of thing makes me sad, but I fully understand Sawyer's anger. I think he is crazy for broadcasting his feelings, though. He may be a tough SOB but smart he isn't.

This is where this rhetoric starts losing velocity.
Some people talk about a new civil war, unrest, etc, but who are you going to be slinging lead at? Politicians? People holding protest signs?
This all starts at a local level.
