National Guard inauguration deployment: twice as large as troop levels in Afghanistan

Very interesting. So we have twice as many troops in DC than we have in two war zones combined. And they're there to ensure communications are available? Are they expecting power outages by chance?
Turns out these guys will be around as well.
So we got 15,000 troops in DC, power outages going on across the world (think Iran just experienced major power outages, so add them to the list of the Vatican, Pakistan, and Weimar, Germany), and the military + FEMA's stated mission of providing communications capabilities during the inauguration...
Let me just say, I don't know what the hell is going to happen, but it's about to get bumpy.
I'm hearing word that they're going to try and bump up Biden's inauguration to tomorrow? On the very day they'll be voting to impeach POTUS with like a week left in his term? As if that will stand.
