If local and state law enforcement officials were doing such a good job then why were many people run down on bourbon street one year ago and there’s a lighted memorial on Bourbon to remember the victims?
Also did you hear that there was a plot to cause terror tomorrow night in NOLA that was discovered and people arrested? Still don’t think any extra help would be welcomed?

I love standing on sidewalks and getting ran over by terrorists.. it's my favorite thing in the world to wait for whenever I visit NOLA

NOLA has more than a 55% drop in homicides this year from 2022. And those numbers include the 12 killed in the terrorist attack. The homicide rate has consistently gone down the last three years.

No, but if having their presence helps deter violent crime in urban areas so be it. I conceal carry so to answer your first question no. I live in rural Louisiana so I do not depend or count on LE to protect me. I also carry when I was in the French Quarter the last 4 days.
