From the article it seems clear that they are talking about correcting the ballots of properly registered and legal actual voters. It also appears that these corrective measures are easily identifiable and won’t be of any value unless a judge, interpreting Florida and constitutional law, rules that they should be counted. If a judge says “no dice. They’re late.” The issue is over.

Who has a problem with this?

Let's assume the reason and purpose is as stated above. The question still remains why these would come from the FDC and not the SOS? I mean votes are supposed to be private so how does the FDC know who to send these out to?

Probably because they contain signatures...unless they are sending to people who didn't vote and acting like they are just "corrected". I don't know how you would tell the difference....

Mail in ballots are not secret. The voters have to identify themselves so that the ballots can be cross checked with the registered or eligible voter rolls. The voters who filled out the forms incorrectly are identifiable. Either they can correct the errors or not, but there is nothing in the article which even remotely suggests that this concerns anyone other than registered voters who cast initial ballots by the deadline.

Ok, I will agree with that. The big question is why is the FDC involved in this and not the SOS? Does the SOS bring in the FDC and FRC to review all ballots? Just seems a bit fishy and very underhanded.

As with every reply to you and since you never respond anyway, I deem you an idiot.

Not fraud, just all the new corrected ballots will be Democrat voters. Funny how that will work out.

That’s really the objection being raised, that the Democratic Party is working to make sure the mail in ballots of democratic voters are corrected. The Republican Party could do this as well, but they apparently didn’t think about it or didn’t put resources on it.

But none of it will matter unless a court allows the corrected ballots to be counted, which probably won’t happen.

There's that bending the Dems are seeking.

They are talking about the democratic party altering state election forms.

You are apparently cool with that. Sane people are not cool with that.

If the Republicans had altered that form you would be setting your panties.

Which shouldn't happen

Neither party should be allowed to be involved and handling ballots.

You call it “bending” but what is happening is that the signature comparison by amateurs is junk. It is just a pretext to throw out ballots. Sounds like the law gives a fake means to throw out ballots that the random person at the table doesn’t want to count. Is that your idea of a good system? Do you want to give the folks in Broward the power to throw out any ballot they want if a person decides the signatures aren’t exact?

That doesn't say that the parties get access to any ballots.

So I guess changing the dates on the forms is acceptable after all? Who needs stinkin' election laws. Just do what you want when you want. Hell, I meant to move to Florida and vote 3 weeks ago. Shouldn't my vote count?
