The article said Pelosi's husband bought a bunch of tech stocks in mid February and had made big gains based on pelosi getting a briefing on the virus.

First of all, the briefing that made several legislators dump their stock was given on January 24, not mid February. Secondly, the market made its all-time high on February 12, so someone buying in mid February almost for sure had losses not gains.

The poster I was responding to said that if he bought zoom he made money. Aside from responding to his snarky post, which didn't refute my post, I wanted to back him up a bit by showing him he didn't know what sector zoom was in.

But, it didn't make much difference what you bought in mid February you probably got hammered. So the article was almost certainly crap.
