Wait, what? Unless the full text contains markedly different results than this writeup covers, your statement is just 100% wrong.
The data as reported indicates an avenue for further research, sure. But let’s be clear about two very important issues:
1. This was a study of 50 hospitalized children. While not all of them were necessarily symptomatic of COVID, they were obviously hospitalized for something. In terms of the amount of physical stress experienced, they probably already represent a poor analog to your average pediatric COVID case. Further complicating matters, 29 of those 50 were either categorized as having “severe” illness or were diagnosed with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome — meaning as a group they were pretty darn sick on average.
2. Only 22 of them had a record of test results that’ was considered complete and reliable enough to allow for an evaluation of their clinical status with regard to thrombotic angiopathy. Of those 22, 19 met the diagnostic criteria for TMA while they were hospitalized. That’s only 86% of the qualified group (which already constituted less than half of the total number of the enrollees). Yeah, 86% is a sizable majority, but it’s clearly not every single kid.
I wish I could access the full text, but even if we set aside the glaring mathematical errors it seems WAY too early to jump to sweeping conclusions based on such limited, short-term data. The list of potential confounders is probably longer then the list of participants at this point.

I’m not saying that having Covid doesn’t have any health effects, but that poster was using a VERY questionable study as the gospel.

A chart that one doctor was basing her beliefs on was based on a 12 month range. The issue, only 3 or 4 months had passed. The graph was a projection (and a horribly inaccurate one at that...grossly underestimating the body’s natural immunity). In short, the graph supported her view that natural immunity is a non-factor in Covid variants and that if you relied on your natural immunity then the Delta variant will kill you.
Why do supposed exports tie themselves to a narrative, despite what the facts portray?
It is damned frustrating.
