I guess this is becoming commonplace and barely worthy of a post. Nevertheless, it’s going to be interesting to see how much help they lose.

quote:

MACON, Ga. — A North Carolina-based health system with hospitals in Central Georgia announced Thursday they will soon require employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

quote:

We have started communicating to all of our teammates (including remote workers, physicians, medical residents, faculty, fellows, trainees, contractors, students/visiting students, members of the medical staff, temporary workers and volunteer staff) that they must be fully vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption.

quote:

We view this vaccine no differently than our requirement for our teammates to get an annual flu shot, as well as be vaccinated for measles, chicken pox and other infectious diseases.

Only it’s not like those listed shots, it’s not FDA approved.

Mind you, she died in 1974...but that's beside the point!

I have to apologize. I took it out of the title because it’s not specifically stated in the article but implied. An employee told me though that it would in fact cover remote contractors.

Once the FDA does approve it, all the large health systems will require the vaccine for employment. You will also see a mass exodus of employees to nearby competitors who don’t

That was a prevalent theme in the social media comments on the article

FDA approval is meaningless. shite gets approved all the time and gets recalled etc. People put stuff in their body all the time that’s not FDA approved. Pretty much anything sold at GNC or any health store.

Guess if you're asked to inject the contents of the fire extinguisher, you'll be near the front of the line. You do you.
