My MIL hates Trump

The wife and I love him. Her and I were briefly talking politics recently when she said "I know you two (talking about my wife and I) like him but I hate the man. I think he's a dumbass".

I just looked at her for a couple seconds, absorbing what she said, and replied "why do you hate him" and she couldn't give a specific reason. She just repeated that she thinks he's a dumbass and said that she didn't like him going to North Korea and being friends with Kim.

I explained to her that he's simply not letting historical opinion dictate how he goes about foreign policy and that he's trying to avoid war with North Korea. He figures "why not try talking to them and being nice" in an attempt to get what we want. Why not try something new? All she could say is "I just think he should never go visit a man who kills people like he does".



My MIL is a lifelong democrat who claims the reason she registered as a democrat is because "back in the day" she couldn't vote unless she was a democrat. I asked her to explain what she meant by that and she couldn't. All she could say is that the only way she could vote when she registered was if she registered as a democrat. I'm pretty sure she's an idiot. She has voted democrat her entire life because that's how her parents voted.

Brainwashed libtards are fricking stupid and they're the biggest threat to our democracy in this country.
