Of course it was sarcasm. But that doesn't delude the fact that the media wants everyone to believe there is a huge race war going on. I helped a very old black lady put her groceries in her car last weekend. And she tried to pay me and called me baby

Im happy for you. What is scary is what it has taken to deprogram her from the liberal programming after college even with a conservative father. She apparently had to marry a cop and witness him being abused weekly before finally starting to dispel the bullshite. For others who arent exposed to the truth, they barely have a hope of cleansing their minds.

That's a credit to her. But, since this only happened because of what she is seeing in her personal life, it's likely that her real understanding and ability to view the landscape is limited.

my wife was on the path in about 2015 or so. she got really close with a group of women from church (who i love) that were really involved in the black community in our town. i 100% support their efforts. one in particular knows that the breakdown of th family is the issue so she bought a house in that area, and has regular events and tries to bring in strong christian black men to mentor them and see what a good role model is. We've helped with it some (albeit not enough) and I think above any social program, this is a worthwhile effort.
HOWEVER, right around 2015-2016, Ferguson happened and Trump came to power. she started going to a few events with them and then i could really start to see some radicalization and CRT language popping up around their group of your typical suburban liberal white women. i wasn't a Trump voter, but i did see through the lies and purposeful division going on.
we had some arguments, specifically around the Charlotesville comments. According to her, Trump called the KKK very fine people and it wasn't till a few days after the fact when i showed her the transcript, that she realized the news lied to her and her friends were going off on social media about false information. she tried to correct them and was met with a pretty visceral reaction. then she noticed in their text thread that they were saying really hateful things about Trump supporters.
She noticed that most of their conversations had gone from just helping achieve just and working towards better outcomes to outright hating Trump and calling people racist.
She still has a screenshot of one of them threatening to run a car through or blow up a stand selling Trump gear and another one threatening to poison a kid posting MAGA stuff (albeit, i'm sure he was being an a-hole.) These were women in leadership at our church and would be mortified if those texts ever made the light of day.
All this is to say, it's not like i wanted my wife to turn around and be a Trump voter or republican. I only voted for him once out of 4 opportunities personally. But my hope is for people's eyes to be opened to the fact the media lies to us and wants us to be divided and hate each other.
Glad your daughter is having her eyes opened.

My kids are in grade school and this is one of my fears already. Thankfully, they are in a nice private school with good conservative teachers and with kids whose parents are also conservative. Hopefully it will be a good base to prevent liberal programming while at college someday.
You'll have to constantly discuss the world's politics and point out the other side of the narrative all the way throughout her education. My daughter also attended a very good (and relative conservative) private school until the 9th grade. Although she's been away at college, I'm constantly sharing conservative information with her, and we talk extensively about it, along with what her teachers and many of the other students are saying. She's learned to look at ALL sides, research it, and draw her own conclusions. We don't always agree on things, but I have an opportunity to discuss them with her.
My daughter seems to have taken the 75% conservative, 25% moderate position on most things, and that's OK with me, as long as she knows how to form an educated opinion and actually thinks for herself.
I suggest that you constantly talk to her about world events, supply with information that you agree with, AND encourage her to use the sources available to her to formulate her own ideas.
