Liberals don’t care if their 401k is in the gutter as long as everyone else’s is too.

Just like taxes. They want more taxes for more social programs as long as everyone else is paying them. Heaven forbid they voluntarily give a little bit more to the feds themselves.

Cool story. Also, 2.1M people filed for unemployment last week and the US has 42 million people on unemployment since March.

I think the market reflects reality.

Younger people are being much harder hit from the draconian, progressive shut downs of our economies. Especially those that work at restaurants, bars, clubs, and gyms. Those jobs will come back quickly in most places unless the shut downs continue for no reason.

There's also pent up demand for durable goods and larger purchases in other households - including appliances, cars, vacations, etc. These will surge a little later than the service sector in the states that aren't currently open.

As an Illinois resident, I don't want to hear any bitching about JBE anymore. He's nowhere near as bad as Pritzker.

Also, do you not understand that the market was so low it HAD to start increasing?

Like all of those “summers of recovery” from 2008 to 2016?

I think the degree to which the economy recovers will be a deciding factor in November.

Let’s say we are just returning to normal in November. Who would you put your faith in to being the economy back - Biden or Trump?

Why would anyone with any type of vested interest in the economy vote for a brain dead career politician that has no concept of capitalism, and was part of one of the most anti-business presidential administrations in history,?

I thought when the wuflu started that is was too early for the market to NOT recover in time for the election.

With the Wuflu in the rearview mirror and everyones 401Ks back to normal, dems screwed the pooch.

They’re starting to realize that the only thing that maybe..... just maybe could have saved them from the evil racist sexist man in the White House happened too soon. Lol

Like bringing up the 1st amendment when it is in no way applicable? That kind of dumb response?

Unfortunately for your ilk, the Markets speak directly to that recovery. The Markets say our economic recovery will be better than I'd anticipate, and massively better than than you would hope. The Markets are right far far more often than brilliant academic economists.
