Saw one report that not one juror has been agreed on today and protests on both sides are outside. Someone was removed for filming the jury.

I can’t see how a murder conviction won’t be reached

About 50 people were excused from the jury pool during questioning by the judge. On Tuesday, the judge and lawyers will review questionnaires, WFAA reported. Around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, texts or emails will be sent to those selected, instructing them to return for the second round of jury selection at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The judge said he hopes the panel will be narrowed to about 250 people by then, and that a jury will be picked Wednesday, WFAA reported. Court proceedings are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday, and also on Saturdays. The trial is set to potentially last through June 12.

Going to be interesting to see what happens when a progressive juror calls him not guilty.

Well the fact that Karmelo admitted to Police and in front of many eye witnesses that he did stab the victim should make this a no brainer in terms of guilt or innocence.

But the punishment phase will be interesting. Since the POS was 17 at the time he killed Austin Metcalf and is still being tried as an adult, he won't face the death penalty or life in prison according to TX state law. This will be a massive injustice for the Metcalf family.

Zero impulse control. He is a danger to everyone around him. Death penalty post conviction.

I read that due to age penalty ranges from 15 to 99 years in prison, For this murder 1 charge. Also read that evidence that; he did it , was not self defense, and was premeditated is abundant . The only thing the killer has is to play the race card.

I think he is convicted and penalty depends , but would be toward the longer end of the range…

I don’t think he walks. Convicted due to evidence. The question is the penalty because jury sets penalty and can be 15 to 99 years.

Trial is in McKinney, but both McKinney and Frisco are in Collin County. Wide range of jurors to choose from. I wish I was summoned.
