All of these Ukrainian politicians are corrupt, and they all exploit the system for their own benefit.
The first example that comes to mind, Poroshenko awarded non competitive shipbuilding contracts to yards that he owned.
If he’s under legal scrutiny, it’s because he no longer has the political power to protect himself from his rivals.
The current government is likely just as bad. It was financed by another Ukrainian oligarch Kolomoisky, and I would doubt its very independent.

It is a shame the Ukrainians can't have a two party system like we have had where the elites can generally look away at the rampant corruption of each other and handle things like gentlemen instead of putting their rivals in jail \Sarcasm ON\
