Mueller Witch-Hunt Didn't Lay A Glove on Trump, But Impeachment Talk Continues. WHY?

Perhaps conventional wisdom would've dictated that any real talk of impeachment would have died when Mueller's report failed to incriminate the President, and certainly would've flamed out after Mueller's disastrous appearance before a Congressional committee, yet just this past week we have seen (or heard):
1) Nadler moving forward with impeachment proceedings and subpoenaing Corey Lewandowski (even though a subpoena wasn't even necessary).
2) Little Adam Schiff preparing to investigate something President Trump might've told a foreign leader during a phone call (even though a former CIA guy who now works for CNN, and hates Trump, says this is just another witch-hunt).
3) Democrats once again brought up scurrilous and unfounded charges against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and even threatened impeachment hearings against him. (The Dems have multiple reasons for doing this, but damaging President Trump is certainly one reason).
4) Speaker Nancy Pelosi just said that Congress should amend the laws so that a sitting President could be indicted.
So, why didn't the Dems learn their lesson from the failed Mueller witch-hunt? I say it's because:
1) They're desperate, because they know that NONE OF THEIR CANDIDATES can beat President Trump in 2020.
AND
2) The Deep State knows what's coming for them, and they are forced into staying on the offensive against President Trump. Preemptive strikes, if you will.
Agree or Disagree?

Nadler is afraid of getting AOCed. His only chance is 'Hey, I tried really hard to impeach him'. He's already getting grief for failing to oust Trump by now.

It’s their own fault. They are the ones saying Trump is breaking the law, colluding , etc. then they look feckless when they can’t impeach.
They have set the bar too high for themselves.

IMO- 75% #1, 25% #2. Congressional dims may coordinate with deep staters, but the dims and the MSM are responsible for the bulk the shitshow that we are seeing coming out of congress lately.
