I’m not sure exactly what I’d add, but I would have de-emphasized the rhetoric that allowed Trump and the night Fox News crew to spin what he said as “No Collusion! No Obstruction!” I also would have put more emphasis on the fact that this was basically, and for lack of a better term, a punt.

The Mueller Report says that trump “expected” help from Russia. Barr says, “No collusion found.”

Mueller did not find any evidence of collusion. If "expecting help" was collusion than HRC and many dems would be in jail for the gathering the information that started this whole investigation in the first place.

Also you obviously cannot read.

quote:

Throughout the conversation, Mueller’s main worry was that the public was not getting an accurate understanding of the obstruction investigation, officials said.

Mueller was concerned about the obstruction part; not the collusion part.

quote:

“After the Attorney General received Special Counsel Mueller’s letter, he called him to discuss it,” a Justice Department spokeswoman said Tuesday evening. “In a cordial and professional conversation, the Special Counsel emphasized that nothing in the Attorney General’s March 24 letter was inaccurate or misleading. But, he expressed frustration over the lack of context and the resulting media coverage regarding the Special Counsel’s obstruction analysis. They then discussed whether additional context from the report would be helpful and could be quickly released.

Mueller never disagrees with the findings of no collusion and/or no obstruction.

So why should Barr be impeached over that? That is absurd. The Barr summary and the Mueller report are 100% in tune.

This whole thing is a tempest in a teapot, imo. If Barr's summary had lied/misled about a key finding, that would be bad. For example, if Barr said something like "Mueller did not find obstruction occurred"...that would be grounds for a resignation.

The wapo report even says the call b/w mueller and barr was friendly and cordial. Mueller was concerned about media speculation (which could be woven as either good or bad for the president), and he believed Barr should have been more specific on the obstruction part.

I don't think Mueller was trying to "call out" Barr.

I don't think Barr should be impeached. People have resigned over lesser mistakes though.

I'm working on a criminal matter at work at the moment and would be pissed if the DAs office (for no apparent reason) summarized my report and left out important context. Not that it would ever happen for small time shite like im working on don't you think an accurate summary would be better?

The Special Counsel's investigation [found that Trump/campaign staff were aware of Russian efforts to interfere with the election and recognized they would benefit from those efforts] but did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it [illegally] conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
As the report states: “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

Barr is going down a similar rat hole protecting his president like John Mitchell did with Nixon. Mitchell went to prison

Did the entire report get released ? It sure did . So
anyone could read it , right? You got your context , it wasnt hidden from you . Barr didnt hide it from you . His summarization is mute since you have the entire report .

Mueller had not found a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russian officials seeking to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Barr also said Mueller had not reached a conclusion about whether Trump had tried to obstruct justice

Just about the exact same way Mueller himself summed up his report, no? Now he’s back tracking?
