The coup continues. And the day before Barr testifies. Absolutely disgraceful

LINK
quote:

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III wrote a letter in late March complaining to Attorney General William P. Barr that a four-page memo to Congress describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work, according to a copy of the letter reviewed Tuesday by The Washington Post.

quote:

At the time the letter was sent on March 27, Barr had announced that Mueller had not found a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russian officials seeking to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Barr also said Mueller had not reached a conclusion about whether Trump had tried to obstruct justice, but Barr reviewed the evidence and found it insufficient to support such a charge.

quote:

“The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this office’s work and conclusions,” Mueller wrote. “There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”

quote:

Justice Department officials said Tuesday they were taken aback by the tone of Mueller’s letter, and it came as a surprise to them that he had such concerns. Until they received the letter, they believed Mueller was in agreement with them on the process of reviewing the report and redacting certain types of information, a process that took several weeks. Barr has testified to Congress previously that Mueller declined the opportunity to review his four-page letter to lawmakers that distilled the essence of the special counsel’s findings.

quote:

When Barr pressed him whether he thought Barr’s letter was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not, but felt that the media coverage of the letter was misinterpreting the investigation, officials said.

Mueller is a POS

What Trump probe? I thought this was about Russia interference in 2016...Or was it a Trump probe?

Oh shut the frick up Mueller if there was a crime then file charges. But the douche leaves it up to Congress which proves how much of a sham this was. Now endless investigations by loser, mouth breathers in Congress. It is plain as day: drag investigations out for as long as possible as we already know the Mueller investigation went on for an extra nine months and then leave it to fricking Congress. Leaving this case to Congress is like having the NCAA prosecute a murder. I hope to God all of the piles of shite burn.

It was never meant to a be a summary

It was a description of the top line findings.

I read the article you posted, though, and I don’t think it casts mueller in a bad light like you are claiming

Media speculation was rampant after the letter was released. Mueller was concerned that Barr’s letter was not specific enough, which allowed for the potentially misleading innuendo.

Also, mueller states in his letter that barr’s letter was not inaccurate.

it's WaPo so Weinstein or one of Comey's lackeys probably leaked this.

it doesn't sound right at all, because Mueller told Barr to do what he did.

something is fishy with this as RR was in communication with Mueller and on the same page.

unless Mueller or whoever wrote it on behalf of Mueller did not want it said that they failed to conclude obstruction.

it's nuts

Well, which is it you old bastard? No one can force the public to interpret things in certain ways. If the facts dont lead to that interpretation then maybe that interpretation is wrong.

Thanks for reading it, I saw WaPo and clicked out. So Wapo's headline is misleading. Mueller didn't want Barr to say they didn't conclude on obstruction?

IOW's: If Barr had just said no charges Mueller would have been fine?

If this is so why did Mueller allow Weinstein to put in the CONGRESS CAN DECIDE horseshite?

The frick does this guy think he is? He’s not the AG, Barr is, Mueller just worked for the DOJ in the capacity of Special Counsel, what Barr (your boss) says goes, you don’t like it be the AG next time. What a fricking turd.

Wiseguy Mueller didnt account for the possibility that Barr may call his hand by swooping in and appropriately clarifying that which Mueller intentionally left vague for deleterious purposes.

I can't believe people actually thought Mueller could be a "good guy"

This disgraceful "article" proves he's one on the biggest frauds this nation has seen in a LONG time
