Self-determination for what? Was America depriving them of something? Did the slaves get the same right to self-determination? The only way the poor could gain anything from the war would have been if they overthrew the slave owners who controlled the delegates and reps that voted for succession.

The Indian claims are more just than the souths.

I am not for war. Americans should never have fought one another.

Every now and then you run into those who do not want us to learn from history. I fly a Confederate flag occasionally because sometimes I feel like it.
