"What's going on here?" asked Kornacki.

He then interviewed Ruy Teixeira, a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute who had previously said Hispanics could solidify Democrat power but has recently documented why that support is collapsing.

"There is something happening that is sending them away from the Democrats," explained Teixeira.

He went on to explain that Democrats wrongly assume Hispanics are moved primarily by concerns relating to racism and discrimination.

"Hispanic voters are normy voters. They’re voters who are concerned with upward mobility, with jobs, healthcare, their communities, their kids, effective schools, public safety. These are voters who thought the Democrats could be relied upon to do a good job in those respects," Teixeira continued.

"And all of that got lost, I think, in the transition from 2016 to 2020," he concluded, "and where we see the Democrats going today, where they've become far, far more socially liberal in a whole variety of issues, which do not, in fact, comport well with the median Hispanic voters, especially the median working class."

So… they are now migrant voters heading to the GOP?

Watch the border get shut down for Hispanics if so.

Yeah, no shite

Most Hispanics don’t support lunacy. They’ll be our biggest allies in the future. I love irony.

It works on blacks due to slavery and Jim Crow in the last. Hispanics have largely never experienced any real racism and there really isn’t a history of it in the US. Italians and Irish have experienced more discrimination than Hispanics. They came to the US late in the game when most of that type of thought was largely gone

I'm glad Rio Grande Tejanos are waking up. South FL Cubans gave Biden a big red middle finger in 2020.

It should be noted, that Hispanics are not all some block ovlf voters. It really doesn't make a ton of sense to lump all Peurto Ricans, Cubans, Mexicans, Guatemalans, Venezuelans, etc. into one group. Plus you have to separate Mestisos from Euro-Hispanics.

I think if we can get 40%, that would be amazing. But not counting my chickens. There are still alot of poor Hispanics who like government cheese too much.

Most of my Hispanic coworkers sat out 2016, voted Trump in 2020 and voted to recall Newsom (Californians). The brown wave is turning red.

Hispanics aren't into that woke shite.. and the Democrat party revolves solely around that woke shite.

Democrats don't even try to pander to legal Hispanic immigrants anymore. They pander to illegal Hispanic immigrants instead.

I really hope so, if they switch to the right and we somehow get rid of the tomfoolery on election nights we might be alright.

Most Hispanics have been largely ambivalent over the last 25 years 2h3n it comes to voting. Basically, they were on mañana time and just checked blue boxes because that's what they always were told was the right thing to do.

Any Catholic candidate would be foolish not to market themselves heavily to Hispanic districts and just preach common sense, and they probably win 80+% of their vote.

Go to Spanish Mass with them and attend a quincuinera or two and you'd be unbeatable.

Asians and Hispanics should fuel the growth of the Republican party.

Rural hispanics are voting like rural whites. They didn't used to vote.

That explains the bulk of it.

No wonder the Biden administration approved to continue a portion of the Wall yesterday.
