15 of those were in an old folks home. That's hardly representative of a true mortality rate.

A measles epidemic in that same old folks home would probably have had the same effect.

Measles is far more contagious, FWIW.

Once again the death rate is much higher than the flu because there hasn’t been testing on a large scale. The death rate percentage will go down to flu like numbers once testing really takes off.

No, he’s being intentionally obtuse by splitting up the sentence when clearly it all applies to the elderly/immunity deficient group.

How is the guy going to get to 20% of all the population dead if only 20% of the elderly are dying?

exactly. they knew what they were doing when they stated it that way.

16% of the US population is over 65. What it is saying is if 100 % of this population gets the virus 20% will die. So about 3.2% of the population.

Stop spreading false information. You are taking information completely out of context. You are just as bad as the original MSNBC twitter headline.

In Italy the death rate is 3.9%, compared to the flu which is 0.1%

In Germany, COVID-19 death rate is 0.0017% with about 1200 confirmed cases. A lot of variance.
