It's a much larger round in the AR as well. ARs are much more deadly than handguns. Not sure how anyone could reach another conclusion.

Fwiw, UPenn Medical School published a study that showed the survival rates for gunshot wounds and stabbing wounds were almost the same.
I'd look for it but I'm too lazy. It's out there though.
