Yes some of it is true, but it is not the result of specific policies of DeSantis. It is the result of specific policies in OTHER states and the WFH policies of corporate America. In fact, DeSantis has done things that would keep “those” people away like the “Don’t say gay”, abortion, gun rights , etc.
The bottom line is that Florida has basically become the new “California” of the 1940s/1950s. Hopefully Florida can avoid some of the things that ultimately make California uninhabitable, and DeSantis seems to be doing just that.
Population growth of 30k people a month, is a pretty good indicator that Florida is doing something right.
