When all this struck we were in the middle of fixing up our house in San Jose to put it on the market.

It's totally screwed up our plans, but we've come up with new plans.

The goal is to get out fast and have it on the market quickly. We will pack up and move out. Realtors will get painters and carpet put in. Then goes on the market.

I'm thinking we can be packed up in 2 weeks.

Hopefully, prices won't tumble. There's no homes in our neighborhood for sale.

Lucky. I can’t wait to get out of this shite hole. Unfortunately we’re further away than 2 weeks. Hoping to do it in about a year.

Landmass is nice. Lot of open space, cheap land, big city amenities an hour away if you want them.

The original plan was to go straight to NW Arkansas, but we may change that up since we cant really get settled with making friends, going to church, etc.

We may travel around a bit and stay at airbnbs. We've been looking at some in Idaho as one of our first stops.

Might as well make the most of social distancing.

We moved from a house 1/3 mile from the beach in El Segundo, CA to the farm I have owned in SE Oklahoma. We still own rental properties in California but I won't move back even though I love the town.

you are dreaming there

prices will tumble just like the stock market did and you will be underwater unless you rent it out and wait to sell it after next year when hopefully things are back to normal

right now people have lost any savings they had, and their jobs, and people just dont have money or the will to take on the risk to buy things unless its at a steep discount

looking at some in Idaho

A friend from work is looking to retire in Idaho. She knows she can’t afford to retire in CA and her boyfriend's family is in Idaho. She’s been a few times to visit and can’t wait to get out of here. She’ll sell her condo and basically buy something outright.
