This is complete, absolute, utter nonsense.

This is an absolutely smooth-brained take.

Its good to have primaries. Its good for our candidates to be pushed and challenged. That ultimately helps you unify.

You want to deal with what the democrats are going through? Push one candidate over any viable challengers (2016) or just ram them through with no democratic process (2024).

It will be Vance v Shapiro.

I hope Ron doesn't run and goes into private life so he can make some money for himself and be appreciated for what he did in a few years. Eventually he can run for Senate or perhaps even be a Supreme Court appointee. I'd love him on the ticket and think a Vance/Desantis ticket would be awesome, but I don't see Vance picking a non-MAGA Conservative white male.

Unfortunately for JD, every election in the modern era will be a "change" election. Trump will be hit with everything over the next few years, and primary voters will gravitate to DeSantis

DeSantis had his chance and he appeared awkward and unsteady as a presidential candidate. Vance is the complete opposite. Attacks on Trump will be toothless moving forward given that everyone has already heard them 1,000 times over and he's already a lame duck president. Trump knows this presidency is all about securing his legacy and the MAGA movement's legacy, and he will "pass the torch" to JD early on.

it's Vance and no one else.

Depends on what is and isn't accomplished between now and then.

If there's a closed border, millions of illegals deported, a permanent Washington that's been right sized or at least that process is well underway, and the woke virus has been removed from our institutions - Vance wins everything in a landslide.

If we fumble around, fall for Democrat bullshite and 2028 looks like 2020, it'll be DeSantis or Vivek.

The incumbent VP, if running, has a tremendous advantage if things go well, and a tremendous disadvantage if they do not

So if all goes well, Vance.

I think a JD Vance/Tulsi Gabbard ticket would be very formidable.

Desantis is term limited after his current term ends. Rubio doesn't come up for reelection until 2028, so there's no opening to move up the ladder in 2026.

Vance and Desantis/Vivek would be a hell of a ticket

I don't think Ron primaries Rubio. But if one of the FL Senators goes to the Cabinet he's a great appointee.

Vance is infinitely more likable than DeSantis and showed out better on the national stage.

If things are going well Vance is the obvious answer. Maybe he has a white female as VP. Who knows.

Youngkin, Desantis also worth a shout. Sununu might enter but I don't think he should and I think he should probably run to the Senate.
