I disagree that he is a worse choice than the alternative.
That's all that matters.

Yea...Ohio got dealt a pretty fricked up hand with this race...This would have been a slam dunk for the GOP had they not ran Vivek

You're free to believe that if you wish. He's still the best option in Ohio, even if that is your view.
No matter how bad you believe Vivek to be, she is worse, and those are the only 2 actual options.

There’s literally no evidence to support the idea that Vivek is a better candidate than Acton other than the fact he has an R by his name. He’s a scammer and a moron and it’s an indictment on Republicans that he was considered their best candidate for Ohio.

This is, of course, obviously false. He is clearly the best option and Ohio will go through major pains if they vote for anyone other than Vivek.

Looks like JD tacitly backed Vivek:

One of JD Vances kids is named Vivek after the future Gov of Ohio.
Im not defending Vance and that was a weak endorsement for Uncle Vivek... but he and Vivek are like brothers.
I imagine Vance knows about living in a tent with a trashy mother so he moved on...

He’s a capitalist, she’s a communist.
That’s the only thing you need to know.

I know you desperately want this to blow up into something to be used against Republicans unilaterally, but it isn’t going to.

There’s definitely a chance this video is taken out of context. I’m trying to find the full video, but it seems like something that was clipped when he could have been referring to something else entirely.
Obviously the ad is despicable, but I’m not sure this is in context yet.

Reading is fundamental:
Vivek is not an elected Republican. JD is telling other Republicans to stop criticizing the ad. He’s running cover for Vivek.
The Vice President is commenting on it the day after it aired. I think that horse has left the barn.

He was prompted for comment. He didn’t approach CNN to give a comment in defense of Vivek like you’re pretending. Would you prefer he not respond at all?
Again, you’re desperate to attribute the ad to Republicans collectively when that’s simply not happening anywhere but in your bubble of confirmation bias. You people weren’t voting Vivek or any other republican from the start.
Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio has no impact at all on any other races anywhere in the country.

It’s not reflective of Republicans in general… until the VP comes out and tries to waive it away as a nothingburger
It’s solely on Vivek but voters will likely watch to see who backs it or condemns it.
Certainly not what JD and the rest of the GOP wanted to be talking about on the home stretch.

Ok
I understand you’re convinced this is the October surprise that will sink Republicans nationally. You’re wrong, but it’s good to have hope.

You might want to wait until the ad actually starts running before you claim this is a nothing-burger (which it very well might be)
A lot of people left and right are disgusted by it. It’s the most tasteless campaign ad in a very long time, if not ever.
