Most of the left is vehemently concerned with a growing world population. It's too much.

I am always very suspicious about people who claim the earth has too many people. I think that’s bullshite.

I think those people hate humanity in some sense.

Meh, I see people on the right concerned too. Only they would rather pay for welfare than birth control. Personally I have trouble reconciling that too.

Open borders doesnt make more people. Giving people more access to birth control does reduce populatjon growth.

While no one can reconcile that, liberals will always need new and fresh voters who aren't aware. Literally everything they touch turns to dog shite and alienates a portion of the liberal party. Open borders allows them to get new votes (since they've aborted a few generations of voters - oops) and control where they end up and how they vote.

What I can't understand is how they, the non elite left, can blindly support this when we have statistics proving that this is harmful to innocent people. Hell, look at EU and what they're going through with their refugee crisis. I guarantee you, the elites are find and dandy with it.

Liberal party is one of manipulation and control.

Resources allow population growth. Resources in the form of energy. The majority of that energy is coming from "fossil fuels". Before fossil fuels natural selection kept world populations in check. I guess poor nations are really not that poor in terms of not having sufficient resources to stifle population growth but are unsophisticated enough not to control their breeding practices.

Yeah, it always seems to distill down to votes and cheap labor.

They want a one world gubment where they think they'll live in a protected city Hunger Games style, while everyone else serves their needs.

Bunch of dumbarse folks. Most of them will be slaves too and they'll bitch and moan about how did this ever happen.

There has been more than a few clinics that provided free birth control funded by public dollars that were opposed by the right and celebrated when they closed.

Like I said, it seems they'd rather pay for the welfare state than free birth control.

I mean we're not too far off from the liberal programmers developing a very intelligent computer AI that comes up with solutions for problems facing humanity.

You know how it would solve overpopulation? Hacking the nuclear codes from countries all over the world and targeting each and every country to start the nuclear apocalypse where the 6.5 billion people are killed and the earth is awash in radiation.

That's actually the basis for a show on TV right now.

Sorry bud. You’re speaking of a group where reconciliation and reasoning is impossible.

I would argue natural selection continues to hold most populations in check. I would argue also that the rise in modern medicine and advances in agriculture have done far more to sustain growth than fossil fuels alone.

The industrial revolution and the advent of steam power were already driving population growth well before the discovery of oil in Titusville, PA in 1862.

There is tons of room for people on this planet. No one wants to have to sleep in bunk beds, though.

too many people isn't the problem. Too many people that wont submit is the problem. You start taking out chunks at a time and you gain a submissive base to rule over.

They've tried it through destroying the moral fibers of the world to create a divide. Globalism has helped spread the "new standard." Now, if you hold fast to a belief system that is contrary to their evolving belief system, you get ostracized, ridiculed, persecuted.

That's why I chuckle at the little leftist in here who have no clue where the party is heading but are willing to defend it's honor over and over and over. Spineless hacks.

Population grows due to resources.

Open borders allow people from resourced lacking nations to migrate resource rich nations thus allowing the support of larger populations.

There is no population problem on the earth. That is a complete joke.

There is a population problem in some condensed areas, but people live there by choice.

At the density of Manhattan, the entire world's population could live in Texas.

Advances in medicine and agriculture were made possible by fossil fuels. Agriculture is easiest to see given the fact that machinery that runs on fossil fuels (tractor, combines, irrigation equipment, etc.) and fertilizers are directly made from natural gas (methane). There is not that direct of a line from advances in medicine from fossil fuels however I'm 100% sure I can come up with many examples if I thought about it.
