Most frustrating part about Reps selling us out on 2A, is it isn't beneficial for them

At least not politically. To some extent, if someone could make a point that this legislation is somehow popular in states like KY, TX, LA, Utah, Alaska, Iowa, etc. I would at least understand where these sellouts were coming from. And just accept they were just pure dirty little whores.
After all they are just politicians, and saving their own arse is always priority number one. But you can't even say this is the case. There is no way this legislation polls better than 10% amongst Texas Republicans, yet Cornyn is tripping all over his own limp dick to get behind this shite. As is the broken old crow from KY, this is not popular at all in the bluegrass state.

Republicans suck at politics because they are so easily scared and manipulated.
If you’re going to give away some of your core principles, at least get something back in return.
They always fold at key moments out of fear and pressure and get nothing in return.
The line moves a little further, the people retreat to another hill, leftists smile, Republicans say “whew good to avoid that fight.”

they still get their suitcase full of cash and your vote no longer is needed now that dominion decides elections for them. they no longer even need to pretend that you matter at all

Who really believes this is about “responsible gun ownership”?
Who really believes that?
Who really believes this will limit gun violence?
Who really believes now that Republicans have given up some ground and allowed a line to be crossed that we’re good now?

What better time to completely turn Biden into a lame duck. The dude is polling at historically low levels, the Republicans should be kicking back and eating popcorn, and here they come in white knighting for the Democrats against their own base on a core foundational issue.

Look at that list. The GOP doesn’t need it to be popular in those states. The GOP is going to win there anyway.

No sensible Republican. But again, if John Cornyn could show some data that Texas Republicans want this, I would at least get where he is coming from, despite thinking he is spineless little weasel. But it's not, at all. And that makes him a huge piece of shite.

This, or they know if Republicans block this bill they will be dragged through the mud by the Dem & their propaganda machine. Some Republicans are too thin skinned to bare this.

Yep, they (tyrannical leaning democrats) were attempting to breach the wall of the fortess only to witness traitorous RINOs'opening the main gate.

And that's why these low lifes can take their stacks of cash, or whatever their benefit is, and vote for this as they know they will still win their next election.

If I ran as a caricature of the ultra ultra far right (imagine American Christian taliban) I think it would be better than Rhinos.

Tucker ripped the Republicans in his opening monologue over this, among other things. He was 100% correct in his assessment that Senate Republicans are doing their best to prop up Slow Joe and give him legislative victories at the expense of their constituents.

You think these people had core principles on the 2nd Amendment?

This is a joke right? The same Texas that voted overwhelmingly for John Cornyn who was the lead negotiator on this bill. Now they are going to suddenly lead a revolt into secession? No one in this country has the will or drive for something of that level.

Of Course they are. They want Biden to win a second term. They do not want Trump anywhere near the White House again. They helped rigged the election in 2020 and they will help rig the election in 2024. They will help Biden win again.

If anyone cares, it’s not popular with me in Ohio.
