That's fine when it comes to a private enterprise taking government money.
My point. Open a private library if ypu don't like government rules being forced.

Most private entities are opened to be MORE restritive than the government alternative, not LESS.

Most people can agree on gay porn being within their children's reach tho

bullshite.

If your school library is normalizing porn to little kids, maybe you need to go have a talk with the principal.
Remember when the FBI got involved at School Board meetings?

Yes.
Pedophiles and Groomers running the Democrat Party are a real thing, we know this.

Banning books is okay as long as it’s books I don’t like

Is this really a problem? Has anything like this been found in an elementary school library....a middle school library.....a junior high school in LA?

I guess that's the sort of reply one makes on this subject when they lack the guts to admit they want to groom children.
Congrats, you sick POS....

Only because the legislature is wanting to apply their morals to all.
It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
By the way we are getting a new library in da parish. It’s supposed to be less books and more community spaces and technology. We shall see.

Remind me which Louisiana school district dealt with that.

Lots of accusations but no proof.
Maybe in Oregon… not in LA
But hey this is feel good legislation that makes it look like our leaders are “doing something” and their base will eat it up.

That’s BS. We always knew what pornography was and writers and publishers had decency standards. Now they publish anything. Iam a libertarian. Go buy your own books if you so worried. Don’t force us to have our tax dollars spent on transgender and porn etc crap.

It was all over Florida.
What's wrong with cutting it off at the pass?
Unless you want kids to have access to gay porn...

I'll admit I'm not a crazy far-right winger who wants to use government money and resources to push my beliefs on others.
You’ve mentioned multiple times your opposition to matters of personal morality dictating legal precedent on the basis of it being fundamentally wrong to “force” your morality on others. If that is the case though, what would be your argument for obscenity laws to exist at all in any fashion? As you mentioned, 10 people may have 10 different opinions regarding what is considered obscene and what isn’t. On what basis, if it’s wrong for the government to enforce laws relative to morality, should the government enforce obscenity laws at all?

it is book banning
Get. fricked.

Call it whatever you want, it is book banning. It is the practice that one group thinks their moral beliefs trump other people's moral beliefs, when it comes to government entities such as schools and libraries.
hmmmmmm
quote:
Currently, the state obscenity law does not apply to various entities including churches, museums, hospitals and school and public libraries "and persons acting in their capacity as employees or agents of such organizations.
Remind me again where kids have been systematically preyed upon. Isnt it churches, schools?? Maybe thats where the pervs gravitate to, under protection of law. Now they wont have that protection any longer
And you oppose that? Groomer, much?
