Not saying it isn't legit but I stopped believing a word from anybody in public education and those unions. There are too many stories of teachers and districts cheating test scores.

This information is encouraging. I've always thought that state and federal departments of education overthink the whole process. (I'm certain it has to do with money on some level). Kids just need to learn the basics and learn how to problem-solve. If parents and teachers focus on the kids, the kids will generally learn. If they are taught how to learn, they can be so much more productive after they get into the real world.

And you think Mississippi has somehow invented this approach?
Please use your brain.

We are waiting on you to back up your claim of cheating on the scale to reflect this turnaround
You have been shown democrat led cheating. Well hell… if they are cheating and still can’t catch up!

Curious, right?
I wonder what the explanation could be.

It’s definitely not leftist programming that liberal drones regurgitate on command when it is shown education can be successful without throwing a ton of money at it. And accountability actually works.
Is it?

Kids have been getting casually passed for years. It’s just a return to common sense.

The entire world has education wrong.
Every other entity simply cannot hold Mississippi's jock when it comes to coming up with novel ideas for education such as
holding kids back.

Ok then…. If it’s so easy… why isn’t everyone else just doing it? “My gaaaaawd!! If Mishshippy can do it!1!1”

That's a great question.
Do you think other states don't hold children back?

They started faking test results.

How are they pulling that feat off?

Easily.
That's what happens with no oversight.

We are still waiting on the proof of your claim…. Other than just melting that a Republican supermajority is changing black children’s lives by providing them better education.
Is your claim that majority black districts are cheating? You wanna go there and still hold to your victim programming?

It’s called the Literacy Based Promotion Act. A part of it is that if a student can’t read to a third grade level at the end of third grade, then they don’t get passed to fourth grade. And if a student needs some additional help, they get it. The students aren’t just passed to get them out of a grade.
So they end up with 6th graders taking the 4th grade test?
Im kidding......

I love how groomers just randomly pick and choose which results are valid and which aren't.
This is great. You are melting because you black kids are doing better in a place that you just know is full of racists.
Not to mention, we already know how you leftists want minorities "educated". You are scared to death they will run from the plantation.
This is so fun to watch. Half the posts in this thread are a groomer melting.

All kidding aside, you guys do realize this is leapfrogging many states on an increasing scale.
That is statistically VERY rare to take such a leap in a few years.
On another note......
I once read a two part article 30 years ago about all the phonics, ebonics, superphonics, etc schools had initiated to finally stop the slide of education and the miracles.
The second part isolated asian kids (I know this study is blacks) and showed how even though they were a small percentage, their stratospheric scores were moving the entire curve.
I betcha if we look into it, MS added some pay for performance to the teachers.......and the scores miraculously improved.

The Mississippi Department of Education has voided some state test results at 12 schools across the state due to concerns that staff helped students cheat on the exams.

Oh no doubt. I too wonder what the exact methodology is.
It is just funny to me to watch a diehard leftist bleed all over this thread and insist that the group that he depends on to vote blindly with him "just isn't that educated without cheating or fudging numbers".
This is glorious to watch, and he's too arrogant and ignorant to realize what he's saying.
