More anecdotal evidence of price increases on everything.

So I get many toiletries from Dollar General (yes I’m cheap, I like paying less for some things) and yesterday I needed some antiperspirant/deodorant. I used to get a two-pack of Degree for $4.25, now it’s $7.00. That’s over a fricking 60% increase, and it’s not only on that brand. Every brand has increased prices at least 50-75%.
fricking everything is getting so damn expensive. Food, cleaning supplies, toiletries, you name it.
This fricking inflation is out of control.

I have more time on my hands than most people and I definitely see the huge increases, but I seem to have a knack for finding clearance racks and keeping my costs down. Doesn't hurt to have a huge basement.
Last couple of months I somehow stumbled upon Gilette Mach 3 razor blades ($15 packs on clearance for $4) and some B&L contact cleaning solution (usually $11 bottle on clearance for $1.50). I always buy a ton of these and just store them in the basement.
I do the same thing with meat and sparkling water. Just load up whenever they're on sale.

You voted for this. The left has been told, repeatedly, that any restriction on petrochem production increases prices on everything. Everything. But they never listen. The left is for the little guy, rite?

I don't think it's going to stop..
we're now at 1 Trillion in interest...
not sure if it's true, but MGT said we increase our debt 40 billion per day
so it's no wonder why our politicians can give Ukraine 60 billion
It feels like nothing...

Had a late night a few days ago and was considering ordering fast food off Uber eats for a quick meal. Thought Popeyes sounded good. A 3 piece combo was $17 prior to all the delivery charges.
That was amazing to me.

The national chain of 99 Cent Only Stores — consisting of 371 locations in four states — is shutting down, with operators blaming unmanageable inflation and theft.
“This was an extremely difficult decision and is not the outcome we expected or hoped to achieve,” Mike Simoncic, Interim Chief Executive Officer of 99 Cents Only Stores, said Friday.
Simonic cited several factors for the shutdown, including the “unprecedented impact” of the COVID-19 pandemic, shifting consumer demand, persistent inflationary pressures and rising levels of shrink — an industry term that refers to inventory lost thanks to shoplifting, employee theft and administrative errors.
“99 Cents Only Stores, together with its financial and legal advisors, engaged in an extensive analysis of all available and credible alternatives to identify a solution that would allow the business to continue. Following months of actively pursuing these alternatives, the company ultimately determined that an orderly wind-down was necessary and the best way to maximize the value of 99 Cents Only Stores’ assets,” he said.

We shouldn’t have to look for the clearance sections to afford basic items. It should be cheap by looking out for America first. But obviously, the current administration does not care about us pore folks out in the sticks in red America

Just a mathematical note...
If something doubles in price over a 4 year period, that's not an annual 25% inflation to equal the 100% total inflation.
It's only a 19% annual inflation rate.

I shall suggest the Dorco blades, they're far, far, cheaper. It was who Dollar Shaving Club used. Five blade razors are for travel, the safety razors are for home use. I gifted 100 of the ST301 to my barber. Nine cents each.

Don’t worry the Wall Street Journal has crunched the numbers for you.

US is spending like they are about to declare bankruptcy. They know they can just print and devalue everything, but they are drunk on power, and spending like they won’t face any consequences; pretty scary actually, as there is nothing to counter our situation

I’m as conservative as they come.

I know you didn't vote for Broome either, then, but plenty of people did. Like they voted for Kip.
Louisiana never learns. I won't go into a rant about women voting for the 19th time (not a coincedence). For maybe 15m.
