So what your saying is a court of law with witnesses and a chance to defend yourself and even prove your innocence is no better than people finding you and murdering you.
Posted on 7/8/22 at 10:57 am to SammyTiger
At that point yes. And we're getting close to that point again. The courts and government are entirely corrupted and not reliable in dealing justice.

So you’re arguing that 1890s southern courts and police wouldn’t pursue black criminals?
And your basing this on what?
And your basing this on what?

Emotionally charged mob justice irrespective of a fair trial and the facts occurs inside a courtroom. It's happening right now in America.

My opinion is whatever crooked posse is in control, that's the government. And they're pretty shitty at dealing out justice no matter what. There's nothing special about being official, and our rulers srent't any more noble than the mafia or KKK. But when they clean up murderers and rapists I don't cry.

anyone here has to answer to you?
You made an ignorant statement and when called out on it you are either unable or to much of a fricking coward to explain what you meant.

Everything you love about nursing homes.....

quote:And yet we have virtual apologists for the very mobs that actively assaulted a child and then conducted a town/county wide cover up of his torture and murder. Did all of those baws and bawettes lack parts that made up most humans? And even though the Till situation was arguably an outlier in extremis, the same sickness infected millions of denizens of the south for decades. Do you agree that those masses (often lionized on this board and pined for to return) were lacking parts that make up most humans?
It tells a lot about a person, who would want to actively assault the elderly, regardless of their past. Especially someone, who is in no way, shape, or form related to the victim of said crime.
Rex, examine your life. You are lacking parts that make up most humans.

This has to be an Onion article.

Whenever you want to ok mob justice… just say it.
Remember… it applies to everything or nothing at all. If you want Wild West.. this is how you get Wild West.
Obviously they haven't mulled it over in their minds about how exactly do you turn it off after it reaches full conflagration.

All 2 of them?
Let's talk about the THOUSANDS of black folk who were overjoyed when OJ Simpson decapitated his 90lb ex wife and her friend.
Get off yer cross....

You cannot be serious.
Till was a 14-year-old kid wrongly accused of a very minor 'infraction.'
That poor kid endured torture for a couple of hours before he finally died. He was strung up, beaten with fists and clubs, he was shot and strangled. His body was dumped in a creek.
There may be some exaggerated stories of lynchings, but this ain't one of them.
The people who did that to that boy earned themselves an exceptionally warm spot in the depths of hell.
While I agree that the people who did the beatings\lynching deserve punishment, has it ever been admitted that the old lady made up the whistle? I am not saying that the young man deserved what he got but I can see an idiot teen doing something like whistling. I was once a teen and have an adult son who when he was a teen did many stupid things.
My point is the anger and punishment should certainly come to the people who killed Mr. Till. But the old lady could have actually been whistled at.

What happened to her? Nothing? Yeah I'm fine with that.
Whatever. I wish no harm on her. But I'm entirely unsympathetic toward her.
The point you're missing is that it won't stop with her. They'll make up any excuse in the book to go after a white person because the media and democrat politicians support them and will run cover for them.
While this lady didn't die or get injured, the next one might.

By the late 1870s white southerners were back in power. They were passing laws to prevent blacks from voting. State legislatures and local government were back to being 100% white in most states despite enormous black populations.
Reconstruction didn’t last 30 years.
The only think preventing these people from going to trial was death at the hand of lynch mobs.
And again, they were not exactly using due process to test the veracity of the charges against these men.

Question, what do you think was worse, the murder of Emmet Till or the murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome?
Do you feel the same level of outrage for both?
Does it not bother you that the Media gave comparatively little coverage for Channon and Christophers' murder compared to St. George Floyd or St. Trayvon Martin?
Just admit your biases and be done.
What happened to Till was an incredible sin, but stop pretending worse isn't happening BY black people towards others more frequently than it should.
This happened in the 50's and is nothing more than YET ANOTHER chance for racist-race-hustlers and their allied blue-haired white women to try and make bank while hating whitey.

Democrats like Al Gores' father ya mean?
Democrats like Bill Clinton who referred to a certain segregationist as "one of my Political heroes"?
If we're digging up bones, DEMOCRAT Robert Byrd was a RECRUITER for the KKK.
Let's expend all ordnance and find every single person he recruited into the DemocratKKK and see what sins they committed.
Then let's drag up all the shite on the Black Panthers and how they tortured and raped white women...
OR, let's try to move on past racism......just kidding, I know ya'll don't want that......
