Funny how all these pro teams marched up to the cliff together, and jumped. I don't get it. What was the threat they are so afraid of that they are willing to offend so many once die hard, money spending fans?

It's amazing that baseball went from a sport that had dozens of the game's biggest (and not so biggest) stars serve in World War II (Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, etc.), stop American flag burning (Rick Monday), and exhibit honest patriotism (see NY teams post-9/11) to what we have today. It's sad, really.

I unfollowed my cubbies this evening thanks to their official account going woke.
90% of the comments were negative... I think MLB is underestimating the impact of this righteousness on their core fan base.

Kind of wish they were allowing fans just to see if there'd be booing for when players are kneeling and what not. Same with all of the other leagues.
We'll see with the ratings but right now it's hard to gauge fan support for this stuff because there's none actually at the game. So you have supportive players and supportive broadcasters.
It's also amazing seeing people say we can improve race relations by making your race and its history the absolute most important aspect of your identity. You couldn't think of a better way to divide people and ferment resentment and unrest.

Its baffling how MLB has gone full retard on this. Unlike the NBA and NFL, baseball fans are largely white conservatives and their rosters are full of players from white conservative backgrounds or Latin-American players who have first hand familiarity with oppressive socialist governments. There was practically zero pressure on MLB from either fans or players to embrace the SJW nonsense and risk alienating their fans, yet them seem to keep doubling down on stupid.
