Statements that reek of desperation like this make me think that this is hush money and that if we don't pay up, someone who is supposed to be on the receiving end is going to start singing to the press.

I 100% agree, and I think Russia has the same info.
Remember all the fuss about Russia capturing Ukraine's chemical weapons plants and the state dept. had to admit they were real?
