A Missouri official is asking the state Supreme Court to suspend the gun licenses of the McCloskey's, the St. Louis couple that waved their guns at racial justice protesters in June 2020.
Missouri Chief Disciplinary Counsel Alan Pratzel, in a court filing, pointed to the couple’s guilty pleas to misdemeanors connected to last year’s incident in his argument to suspend the McCloskeys’ gun licenses, according to KCUR-FM.
His office is in charge of probing ethical complaints against Missouri lawyers, according to The Associated Press.
Mark and Patricia McCloskey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges that stemmed from the June 2020 incident. Mark McCloskey — who is running for U.S. Senate — pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault and was ordered to pay a $750 fine, and Patricia McCloskey pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment and was subject to a $2,000 fine.
They also agreed to have their guns taken and destroyed.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) pardoned the couple last month. Pratzel, however, said that while the pardon takes away a person’s conviction, “the person’s guilt remains,” according to KCUR-FM.
Pratzel said the crimes illustrated an “indifference to public safety” and involved “moral turpitude,” which gave grounds for the discipline, according to KCUR-FM.

Just like with the bakery in Colorado, the Left will never stop trying to destroy what's normal and right.
They simply will not allow others to live their own lives.

This clown is responsible for investigating ethics complaints against lawyers! I would not be at all surprised if someone correctly refers him for disciplinary action for bringing the frivolous action purely for purposes of harassment. frick that clown.

Just those two and one was a court exhibit that wasn’t even able to fire when she brandished it.
The DA’s office actually fixed it to reinsert the firing pin then claimed she was brandishing a live weapon.

So they want to suspend the Constitution?

What discipline action are they facing?

None because the McCloskeys plead guilty and got pardoned.
IIRC, they sued the DA’s office over tampering with the gun when the charges came across.

This.
I don't recall MO being a place where you have to "register" anything.
Some Dem hellholes like NYC may have something like that but not MO that I am aware.

So we should hang Bowe Bergdahl for treason?

Why did they give up their guns in the 1st place? A violent mob stormed and broke into their gated community. Their actions saved lives.

They were on their property.

I seriously doubt it is within the purview of a state bar association to interfere with 2nd Amendment rights as attorney discipline.
ETA: as someone pointed out this is directed to their law licenses, while still fricked up, that would absolutely be within the authority of the state bar.
