Are they boycotting because of the criminal who was brandishing a weapon and got shot by the cops?

Are they boycotting the destruction of private property, riots, and attacking of police officers and citizens without a single arrest?

Are they boycotting the one guy who was forced to defend himself while running from a violent mob who has already been arrested and charged?

What are they protesting?

What is their goal?

Not just this game. NBA playoffs are down a lot from last year. All these experts predicted that the NBA's ratings would be through the roof because people were missing sports.

Maybe people don't like hypocritical morons pushing stupid politics

Good job guys. You've just cure racism and police shootings (and arrestees not obeying law enforcement) by not playing a basketball game that nobody was going to watch anyway. Your job is done.

Just a bunch of dudes who don’t want to work anymore and go back home to their oppressed mansions and swimming pools.

There has always been a lack of awareness from celebrities and athletes because they don’t live in a real world. They’ve been catered to their whole life. Almost like a spoiled brat

But this is a bad move for the nba. They will hear from people how brave they are yada yada yada.

This dude that got shot was a bad guy. A drain on society. A terrorist in his community. Why you would die on that hill makes no sense

Just a bunch of fake activists. Nothing more and nothing less

I hope all pro sports teams do this and the leagues collapse. Far-fetched, but one can dream

I thought basketball wasn't even going on and there is a game 5 happening?

The NBA should be using it’s massive voice and attention to be begging fathers to stay and raise their kids. Begging black communities to invest in education. Begging for an end to the violence. Begging people to look at facts rather than narrative.

But they’re not. After all this is the stated intended purpose of the Black Lives Matter movement:

quote:

We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.

We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

I can't relate to any athlete on the floor, therefore, I don't care.
