Obviously, we differ in how we think we can get a boot off the neck. I tend to think that a Sanders administration, if it can find any policy success at all, would make matters worse.

there's nothing wrong with being worth many millions of dollars, bernie doesn't have a problem with it and neither do 99% of his supporters.
it's the billionaires most people have a problem with, and their ability to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.
this is incredible
All Bernie has done from 2016 to 2020 is replace "millionaires and billionaires" to just "billionaires" in his campaign speeches since he, himself, is now a millionaire
its fascinating, honestly

I'm voting for Bernie because politicians, on both sides of the aisle, are overwhelmingly self-serving, immoral megalomaniacs.
I’m not going to insult you, but he’s never held a job outside of government and is a multi millionaire with 3 houses.
He wants communism because he would be on top and his family would be completely set for life.

I didn’t insult the last guy.
But I’m going to insult you. This is an idiotic take as Bernie will tax the shite out of everyone until the only people who are wealthy are those directly tied to his government.
Bernie doesn’t want Norway, he wants Russia and Cuba.

Once we cede control of even more aspects of our lives to the government we will never get them back.

We tread the line between 1984 and A Brave New World, regardless.
I'm a fan of small. Small government, small business. Resiliency and, to some extent, autarky. I'll keep writing and wishing until those things come en vogue.

Generation: Millenial
Voting: Trump
I lean a bit more to the left than I do the right to be honest (it's close), but there's no way in hell I'd vote for Comrade Sanders.

My God. Are you daft?
You think the problem is that the current politicians are so corrupt, they can be bought.
So, you think giving those politicians MORE power will make them suddenly "not corrupt" just because they don't happen to be corrupt in the same way?
fricking moron.

Again, there's a reason for that. There's simply no demand. Unless you have a non-employed/independent source of income or capital, you simply can't decide to move to bumfrick.
Price is always about supply and demand. Are you expecting a low price in a high demand area? That shows a fundamental misunderstanding of economics.
The point the millenial was making was that he didn't have an opportunity to buy a home and build wealth (as oposed to renting). The truth is that he is unwilling to buy in a less popular area to build that wealth, postponing his enjoyment until later in life. I'd suggest that it's the norm for people to buy their first home with the intent of moving on to what they really want in the future. Are millenials unwilling to do that?

Bernie owns three homes, and was basically paid off by the DNC to not scream bloody murder they screwed him in 2016. How is he any better?
so this tells me you're the low-info group parroting right-wing talking points. good to know.
it's okay to be successful, lol. Bernie being successful doesn't make him a bad person, nor a hypocrite. Under his system, that would mean he would be paying more into the pot, which is good for everyone.
He doesn't have a problem with rich people (otherwise, I would have a problem with him, as well as many others); he has a problem with rich people rigging shite and exploiting loopholes to shift the burden unfairly onto people with less means.
You can be rich (even wealthy!) and think other rich people should pay more in taxes. I'm one of them.
