We just want the damn files out in the open so every last one of those creeps (left, right, wherever) finally gets their name etched in the hall of shame and can never hold power again, because until that happens the swamp's still full no matter who's president

This is just adding validity to the theory that Epstein was a CIA asset used to get powerful people compromised so the government could blackmail them

That means our IC worked with him.

And that is exactly why we're not going to get the real stuff.

Its a proxy issue for holding bad actors accountable

If Trump campaigns on draining the swamp yet does nothing in regards to the low hanging Epstein fruit in which anyone with 2 brain cells can see that Epstein clearly was an intelligence agency asset, then it causes people who backed Trump to lose faith

Actually Johnson has a point.

It may or may not be relevant here.
Presumably that is an unknown, and at this stage IMO, it's best to just get the stuff out.
All indications are the release would happen independent of the M-arse-ie maneuver.

However, despite the fact that Trump has explicitly said "release the damn files!~" the interaction does set precedent. Can Congress demand the Executive Branch deliver whatever Congress demands? The answer should be no. If Congress objects, it can impeach. That is

Essentially what Johnson is saying is the M-arse-ie maneuver is entirely political and irresponsibly stupid, especially in light of the fact POTUS already said "release the damn files!"

Victims should out their perpetrators.

Massie and MTG said they'll read the names aloud on the House floor. Just do it FFS.

Probably because some thought "drain the swamp" actually meant something.

It seems accountability isnt that important again...

The only redactions needed is the victim's names. They can damned sure leave their ages in, though.

Mike Johnson only cares about one thing in this life: Israel.

This will not endear anyone to his chosen people and country.

It's good that our persistence on this issue despite being attacked by people like you resulted in only 1 vote against it.

Keep staying on the wrong side of history.
