Less and except “regime change,” which I’m not certain if that would actually be an “official” objective, what would you say is a likely objective they set out with that so laughingly has not been met? Just out of curiosity.

So the official US foreign strategy with regard to Iran is what, whack a mole?
quote:

No nuclear program

So we’re super duper serious this time they don’t have nukes? Pretty sure I heard that before?
quote:

No funding of terrorists

How has this been accomplished?
quote:

No ballistic missiles

Because China definitely isn’t going to give them more as soon as trade opens back up?

We killed some mullahs. That’s it. If part of a change in regime that would be a great thing, but as is it means absolutely nothing.

If that’s success for you so be it, but objectively this was a huge mistake because the minute we leave anyone who protested or supported this is getting liquidated from the “Persian baddies” on down and we’re going to be right back to square one a year from now when they bring whatever they’ve refined out of whatever hole they’re hiding it in currently.

Whatever the worst case scenario is in your mind at this moment, that’s what it is. In every moment, in fact, re: Trump. Prove me wrong.

Mike Johnson is a worm and weak. He doesn't truly represent American First values and he damn sure doesn't decide when objectives have been met!

Tariffs are the right way to go.
EPA regs are being rolled back.
Talking about new prosecution of Brennan.
Tons of onshoring on the way, just need to bridge to it.
The Maduro raid was the most successful major op of my life outside of maybe Obama.

You good or I can go on?

He gambled they’d fold despite what the pentagon told him and it didn’t land. He was on a heater and got carried away, it happens.

The key here is he doesn’t go all in with ground troops. Right now it’s a set back but not a disaster.

A ground war in Iran would be a disaster that would consume the remainder of his second term.

You may well be right, but here yet again we have a case of someone being so over the top piled on, hardly a single commendation from us the peanut gallery in memory, literally, that it’s basically too difficult to distinguish between irrational, blind fits of scorn directed at him….versus legitimate, rational criticisms. Which ultimately nets the effect of declining to view any criticism of the person at issue seriously, out of hand.

My opinion means nothing more than anyone else's around here, but I don't believe we'll see a ground war. We don't need to put boots on the ground. Israel has that shite covered!! Iran "leadership " can't even meet without being vaporized!! Lol

Oh it’s a clusterfrick no doubt.

But that’s where we are headed, at least it seems right now.

And that was always the danger when we started this boondoggle.

Deploying an MEU and part of the 82nd AB isn’t a good sign but there are plenty of signs he’s looking to de-escalate if there’s a graceful way out so I’d still lean towards agreeing with you.

This will be studied in military school on how to have a flawless military operation. This has been a huge win for Trump and will continue to be. This war is winning the gop the midterms - Americans love winners. And this is a winner.
And to the young men that are ingrates - acre you - and grow up and get a job - you are the reason you are poor not the gop or Trump.

If you trust Iran over the most honest and transparent administration and president in history you need to be locked up in a mental institution.

Nawl, I wouldn’t even know how to “spin.” It isn’t even possible to spin something when you’re always right anyway. (lol)

That’s not drinking the Koolaid, that’s a double backflip into the Koolaid pool.

I’m having trouble figuring out if you wrote that as satire.

Yep, war is over. Should be wrapped up in two weeks, or two weeks after that.
