Here and Here are, in fact, spelled the same. However, Here and Her are two different words with two different meanings.

I know my role. You should learn yours. Apparently it's not an English or spelling teacher.

Oh, and GFY. Happy Thursday!

Morning, Girl

This thread has become rather hostile since you've last posted.

I haven't read this thread all the way through, but I just saw the clip where she made the statement on Morning Joe.

It was a humorous remark. She rolled her eyes and smiled. The audience laughed. This is one of those examples of making a mountain out of something that isn't even a mole hill. It's an example, of which both sides on this board are guilty, of latching onto some meaningless quip and taking off on a foolish rant. It diminishes both sides' credibility when it happens.

The fact she thinks that was a "witty line" means either her sense of humor is awful, or shes racist. I think I'm going to go with both.

Oh oops. I could have sworn at some point KCT told me he/she was a female.

Regardless, he/she is still easily one of the worst posters on this site--sex is irrelevant.

I just view it as a double standard. We all know if Bush, McCain, Rove, Romney, etc...if any of them said anything about men being smarter than women (joking or not), they'd get crucified in the media. I have no doubt in my mind.

My influence doesn't extend beyond this board. For me to bitch about it, does nothing. But maybe if the media didn't treat the left with kid gloves, the first lady wouldn't find it prudent to joke about the intelligence of half the country.

The one thing she does that actually matters, IMO, is continue to lobby for improvements to girls education. She's very vague in how she words things. She'll say, "we need to improve transportation...get more fees...Until we prioritize our girls and understand that they are as important and their education is as important as the education of our sons, then we will have lots of work to do."

Sounds great. Girls, girls, girls. But who is she talking about? American girls? Because American girls don't need shite.

We live in a very girl-centric society right now. Perhaps it's a result of an over-correction. As the mother of a boy, it's very frustrating sometimes.

I just saw this on the TV and let me say that this thread is a great example of why the winger conservative movement is so fricking pathetic. That this was an offhand joke told for her particular audience(a bunch of women) while talking about womens issues was obvious even for the most retarded among us. Your rabid, flailing rage only serves to ensure Hillary a nice warm seat in the whitehouse. You people are the LCD, congratz.

And that's completely my point. I'm all for girls having every opportunity, but they're to a point now that they don't need any more help when it comes to opportunities. They've already arrived. In fact, every trend in education points to women completely taking over.

So why isn't she saying anything about THAT? Why isn't anyone on either side of the aisle? This is a huge issue. Talking about the future of our country and as it stands, women are on pace to dwarf men in educational attainment much like men used to dwarf women.

I'll give President Obama a little credit, but not much. He tried to setup support for BLACK men/boys. Of course, feminist outrage caused him to back off. But at least he wanted to help some men with specific support. He just needed to make it a program that would include all boys (which probably would have angered the feminists even more).

I would assume that would make men a disadvantaged class warranting government support to level the playing field.
