Look man, you apparently don’t know much about Cohen, so I’ll educate you: Cohen has always, since the beginning of his adulthood, been deeply involved in the dark underbelly of the crooked NY taxi industry.
There’s a limited number of medallions, so crookedly accumulating them and crookedly getting the most out of the medallions you crookedly accumulate is a BIG game there.
This is about punishing Trump’s associates through any means possible and with Cohen, who is KNOWN to be a crooked taxi game player, that’s easy to do.
There’s no connection to Russian collusion here. This is just a low hanging fruit getting punished for his well known crimes because he’s friends with someone they hate. It’s petty vicarious revenge on Trump, nothing more.

You're a blind fool! The taxi drivers had Russian guys in their cars! Sometimes driving them to and from airports. Some of these Russian guys were agents.
