They need to start doing a better job cooperating on border security. The chaos is unacceptable and they have a shared responsibility to address it.

This is the dumbest shite I've read on here in quite some time.

Clearly, you do not understand The Art of the Deal.

Give Mexican politicians a problem to solve for their people. Offer a face-saving solution. Done.

You won't understand because you think you are smarter than you really are.

Yes so?

Not sure how to answer your question other than Mexico and China have been meeting lately. I wonder why?

Trade isn't going to dry up overnight, just like Brexit isn't going to crush the U.K.

I understand, but let's not pretend that Mexico is completely screwed in this, or have not thought through the potential outcomes of this little tiff.

Not to mention they share a physical border with us. Solid and friendly relations with Mexico is pretty big deal. Only dumbass blustery Trumpkins dont understand this.

They're just mad that someone called The Orange One on his bullshite. I'd get used to it Trumpkins.

That's my point exactly, neither "side" is going to go all stupid.

Yeah. Mexico has been such a great ally over the years. We shouldn't make them mad.

Look at this, me and my arch nemesis Jbird on the same page about something :)

I love Trump and his aspirations on getting us back on track economically. I have been wondering why politicians didn't seem to be acting and pressing in defense of the American laborer, and it's so refreshing to see this topic a top priority, and so quickly.

There is undoubtedly going to be some blowback, and it may not be what we are expecting - but I am going to hope that the plan works out.

Mexico and China aren't going to like it, but at least WE are finally doing something about the lopsided situation.

I doubt we are going to ever find Americans who will build a car for the price a Mexican would, but let's see how this plays out....

And the response...

Trump tweeted Thursday that "If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting" in Washington D.C.

Correct. They're no longer dealing with a phony red-line drawing spineless community organizer.

Do you honestly believe that Trump didn't know this guy was going to walk away based on what we've been hearing from Mexico? Dude, get a damned clue. Trump knew he wasn't going to come to the table. It's called buying leverage. Some of you people must either be in your 20's or have never had any real world business dealings.
