asked for five and you couldn’t even give me one. Instead you decided to go with some nonsensical rambling full of projection, blame shifting, and regret.
Your question was retarded. It got the response it warranted.
As for what I wrote, tell me what I laid out that’s inconsistent with your posts. You clearly have a hardon for boomers. Clearly feel like your generation has been victimized by them. And while lampooning them as stupid and weak, you freely (and curiously) argue they run everything and have made this country, good and bad, what it is today.

List five accomplishments you think the boomer generation should be recognized for.
This is the second time I’ve asked you do so. Curious you keep avoiding it.

No, this is a manifestation of severe boomer distress when they’re confronted with the realities of what your generation has left all those coming after with.

When did this happen?
It's an age thing. In a few years GenX and Millennials will do the same. Hopefully things won't get torn up too badly in the meantime.

Reagan was never the conservative boomers like to pretend he was. He helped normalize 2A restrictions, amnesty, and expanded federal oversight immensely. I would argue that boomers have never been actual conservatives as far as ideology goes. More like lib lite.

What’s more curious is you think you’re making a point. FFS why would any rational person respond to this? Hell, why would any adult ask it?

You start your argument explaining how I’m wrong in believing you blame boomers for bad shite, and then you go onto state that boomers have left your generation with bad shite. You sure have figured this message shite out.
As for your graphs, why would you post them when they prove my point. That boomers are so f’n amazing that while making up less than 30% of the adult/voting age population, they run everything.
It seems to me you’ve become twisted up in this thread. I’ll help. First, decide what it is you actually think and feel about boomers. Are they stupid and weak, or are they powerful and smarter than the other generations? Because so far, you’ve made both arguments.

If Reagan and boomers aren’t conservative, how would you label millennials and GenX?

Boomers like you truly live in some bizarre alternate reality where factual data presented in basic English and punctuated with graphs should be ignored at all costs if it runs contrary to your narrative.
Answer my fricking question or frick off instead of wasting my time with your deflections.

quote:See here's where things jump the shark. You are fully capable of doing a search and answering that question. Obviously most "achievements" are also multigenerational. e.g., Allen, Gates, and Microsoft don't happen w/o the aid of old farts at IBM.
List five accomplishments you think the boomer generation should be recognized for.
I don't know what hardships you perceive imposed on you by ""boomers"". I really don't. That line of thought to me is as alien as the OP.
But whatever your perception, by comparison, the hardship imposed on boomers by their predecessors was the Vietnam draft. Right? As soon as the first boomers came of age, they were drafted and sent off to fight a senseless war run by military buffoons.
So in terms of "achievements", I guess we could start by saying boomers ensured that would not happen to succeeding generations.
Boomers were far and away the most accepting generation in US history of racial diversity, cultural diversity, and advancement of women in career pursuits. I'd categorize that as a wonderful achievement.
The most obvious "achievement" would be the tech explosion. Right? Microchips, computers, GUI systems, the internet, cell phones => smart phones, online retail, extraordinary medical advancements, etc., etc., etc.
The tech boom in particular brought on a US economic surge that left us in larger nicer better appointed homes, multiple cars per family, cars that last 15yrs instead of 5-6, and a society able to do things its predecessors could only have dreamed of. Things now taken for granted.
E.g., Ask a boomer how many families they knew growing up, who vacationed overseas. That answer is nearly zero. Ask yourself the same question.
I could go on, but in a nutshell, younger folks absolutely have it better than folks in their age group two gens ago. Of course they do! It's not even remotely debatable. The same has been true for most of our history. Denying that is silly. It was just as true for boomers when they were coming along, and it will hopefully be true for younger gens 50 years from now.

You need a hug. Or a medal. Seriously, this is an Internet message board. Not a single thing can happen here that should make you angry. I do not want to be responsible for you shooting up a Walmart tomorrow, and we f’n know if you do you’ll blame a boomer for making you do it.

Listen, I can’t make an argument for you. You understand that, right? I can drop some hints, but at some point you’ve got to be able to connect a couple of dots.
1. You post a graph showing lots of boomers in Congress as if they voted themselves into office. Do you not understand it’s your f’n generation that has put them there? Am I supposed to feel guilty that your generation is stupid enough to elect corrupt boomers over and over?
2. Your anger is probably rooted in arguing against yourself. You seem to be struggling to figure out if boomers are your betters, or inept and inconsequential losers. If they’re inept losers, you’ve got to stop whining about them controlling everything.
3. Just some advice here - even if you feel inferior or victimized, don’t show it. Especially somewhere that’s really easy to do that (an anonymous internet message board). I’ve never really felt like a victim, but if I ever did nobody would know it. But maybe that’s just me. Well, me and my family - including my kids. Except maybe my daughters.

The first sentence you typed told me you were once again avoiding the question and I didn’t bother to read anything else.
From what I’ve gathered, you’re the prototypical boomer that thinks they’re far more intelligent and accomplished than they really are. Your entire personality is that of pretentiousness and bloviation. I gave you a fricking softball question and you couldn’t even be bothered to respond because you found the question to be beneath you.
You have no one to blame for the hate boomers receive but yourself, but of course if you were capable of any sort of introspection we wouldn’t be here to begin with, would we?

You just got done pretending you didn’t read my whole post, and now you’re whining that I didn’t write an essay for you in answer to a silly question? I didn’t answer your question because it wasn’t worth my time. It’s not like you’ve shown an ability (or willingness) to engage in a thoughtful conversation.

This is a little sad but mostly funny. I hate to break it to you, but boomers receive no more hate than anybody else. Sure, there are some people with weird ideas that find a perceived audience on social media, but like groomers and socialists their digital footprint is far bigger than it is in real life. I’m 61 years old, have raised a family, run businesses and in all that time and amidst a shite load of people of all ages, I have never heard anything like your whining in this thread.
I am curious about how you decided boomers were hurting you, or holding you back, or whatever you believe a generation of people has done to you/your generation that is so egregious it’s worth a moment’s emotion. My view is that any American bitching about their lot in life has a skewed view of the world. The fact is outside of a blip here and there, life in America gets better and better, generation to generation.

Why are the Boomer haters showing this image and thinking it’s some indication of Boomer blame for the current deterioration of our constitutional republic?
What this image shows is as boomers are being replaced by younger Congressional members (Swallowswell, AOC, Talib, Pressley, Sharice David, Ted Lieu, Karen Bass, and on and on) the more radical the Groomer party (formally the Dim party) has become.
As crazy and radical as Pelosi was 20 years ago the addition of the “Squad” to Congress took Nancy’s insanity to a level never before seen and many other Groomer congressional members over age 60 have gone along with the radicalism of the younger Groomers currently in congress.

Y’all have talked shite against your Boomer parents and grandparents, ignoring their advice and guidance, advice that came from decades of life experience along with the values and work ethic handed down from the Greatest Generation.
Yall shite on the advice the Greatest Generation gave y’all, spent our country into oblivion and sold it off to China. So don’t act like y’all are even in the same universe as the Greatest Generation. frick the Boomers. Take your shitty advice and shove it up y’all’s asses
This here ^^^^ is pure mental fragility.
I’ve heard estimates that upwards of 40% of people under age 40 are on some form of psychotropic medication because of depression, or anxiety. There’s something just a little fricking off with these younger folks and prescription psychotropics might explain some of their behavior.
As of this week I know of four young adults under age 25 that have died from drug overdose in the past eight months and everyone was also on prescription psychotropics.
So many younger Americans are increasingly looking for some drug to cope or someone to blame for their lack of personal responsibility and poor decisions rather than taking on the struggles of life and persevering through hard work and faith in God.

If all you Hollering boys are to be believed about policy from 1960 on being caused by boomers, it is SIMILARLY TO YOUR CLAIMS, you have already been in charge the last THIRTY YEARS - This shite is ALL YOUR FAULT according to.... YOU.
Wait what? I'm not even 40.
I didn't say boomers have to be blamed for every policy since 1960, but you certainly wouldn't blame Gen X or Millennials for a policy from 1960, right?
Boomers have been in power since the 80s/90s. Older Gen X has gotten some power and everyone younger has almost no power. How can you blame utes when we aren't in positions to do the stuff you are complaining about? It's literally illogical to the point of emotionality.

though this thread could never prove it due to all the hollering boys going off their own tangents, each making different stupid argument ; ALL of them making seperate arguments no-one else could possibly understand much less any of the other hollering boys understand. 100 different threads; no one understands their poorly formed argument; and neither does the one posting theirs. a true idiocracy. No shite? You might as well have said "Gen X came after boomers"
Boomers are really old, of course they are dying and being replaced by the next generation. They're still the ones with the power, for now.

This is pure insanity.
The boomers were radicals in the 60s and 70s. Those policies were more extreme than what's being touted today in Congress.

Your disconnect with reality is ongoing. It is obvious that great damage has been done to your people, otherwise your posts would make sense.
Instead they indicate a disjointedness and departure from logic.
When these bimbo eruptions first began about 6 months ago, I used to think this was some sort of internet meme sort of game - I really did.
I was wrong - there has been a complete uncovering of just how bad our education system has been damaged.
Misstatement, lack of understanding of how substantial subjects should be discussed all out the window replaced by nonsensical substitutes for these remnants of thought, of which are seemingly all thats left.
Not only do you miss any and all points, you scream other nonsense about how you are right anyway.
You and Your 'emotional' lebeling effort and the point:
quote:
How can you blame utes when we aren't in positions to do the stuff you are complaining about? It's literally illogical to the point of emotionality.
serve as poster child for this.
Your abilities at math/calculus indicate there are apparently some areas of intelligence. I believe there are several other major categories of 'intellectual ability" technical math being one of them. I think in terms of math myself - always have.
But where you seemingly fall flat is on the other areas of intellect. Logic, understanding, communication, strength of forming expression of thought..
I know where I stand in all of those and have seen the variations of abilities of others. I learn more and more about your strengths in these regards
Again, I used to think these idiocy eruptions were some kind of internet game... apparently not.
Seriously. Something has caused deep damage to too many millennials. I suspect that the Z's are going to be damaged in much the same way.
I worked hard all of my adult life. It has been accompanied with achievement. I owe nobody for the achievement.
I only owe you standing for your rights to take advantage of the opportunities that you face, which are as good or better that those of mine. Thats all.
I will not EVER take seriously anyone hollering marxian nonsense, or any of the complete nonsense I see in the bimbo eruption threads. Why? Because anyone doing that is working as an enemy, an enemy I intend to defeat. FOR YOU.
