Here's a hint... if your "church" is celebrating a "trans day of visibility" and you consider attending that "church" making you a Christian... you aren't a Christian. You just aren't.

Not to be "that guy" but there are different synods in the evangelical Lutheran church. Only one of them (Missouri synod) is liberal. The other (Wisconsin synod) is as conservative as they come.

Yes, Lutheranism in general, as a group of national churches, etc. was/is called “evangelical” because it emphasized the good news of the free and completely unmerited salvation available through Christ (also called that in distinction from the Reformed churches following John Calvin).
ETA: And no, you’re the (literally) the first person (outside of Wisconsin Synod Lutherans, that is) I’ve ever heard call the Missouri Synod “liberal.”
