If I had to guess they will initially just go back to the pre-2023 districts for this election cycle which will turn the 2nd district back to red. I think a second redistricting session will have to be called at a later date to change the 7th district since that one will probably take more time to redraw.

Yeah they will almost certainly have to do it this way.

It’s kinda wild that the Supreme Court only a few years ago forced Alabama to redistric based on race and race alone. I’m super confused.
