Effing sicko

quote:

A fourth-year medical student at Wake Forest boasted on social media Tuesday about apparently sticking a patient unnecessarily with a needle — all because he mocked her "pronoun pin."

K. Del, or Kychelle Del Rosario, a fourth year medical student at Wake Forest School of Medicine, posted to Twitter that a patient was so disrespecting of her pronouns that she intentionally injured the patient during a medical procedure. Del Rosario has since deleted her account.

"I had a patient I was doing a blood draw on see my pronoun pin and loudly laugh to the staff 'She/Her? Well of course it is! What other pronouns even are there? It?' I missed his vein so he had to get stuck twice," Del Rosario said in a now deleted tweet.

Del Rosario was responding to a tweet from Shirlene Obuobi MD that spoke about how Obuobi wears pronouns on her name badge "to help [her] patients & colleagues who fall under the trans umbrella feel a little more comfy."

If “tranys” make up only .03% of the population how many trans patients could she possibly have?

By "taking measures to address this" I hope they mean, "she will be expelled."

If the patient is smart he will sue for malpractice. That chick isn't smart enough to be a doctor. What kind of fricking idiot boasts about something like that on social media? What a dumb arse.

What “measures” are there to take? She should be expelled immediately.

A student rotating through our hospital said that before one of his residency interviews started, someone from the University read a statement about how they acknowledged indigenous people and the land that was stolen from them by white settlers. Wasn’t Wake Forest but social justice bullshite and progressive ideology is prevalent in medical schools throughout the country. She will get an award from the med school for that tweet, not punishment.

The medical school isn’t who should be the hammer here

Oh, I do believe you miscalculate, monsieur.

Now she may contend the double stick was d/t distraction in the moment, rather than deliberate. But she won't be pulling in any awards for this.

Meanwhile, the she/her BS plays to <1% of the population and probably offends 10%-20%. It's a balance this nitwit needs to figure out in communicating with patients, or it will be figured out for her.

But it is, and if the finding is she deliberately harmed a patient, the hammer will come down.

I worded my response poorly. Yeah the medical school SHOULD but licensing boards are who will I hope. Let her build all that debt then don’t let her use the degree.
