The media was more outraged at Michigan residents protesting Gov. Whitmer's shutdown orders than they are about the Minnesota riots which have burned businesses, looted Target and other stores, resulted in deaths and injuries as the mob rules. They disparaged the protesters in Michigan as they have the Tea Part and those opposed to removal of historical Confederate statues. While they may occasionally state they don't agree with the riots they work overtime to justify the outrage that fuels the violence. We saw this play out in Ferguson with the BLM movement and the whitewashing of ANTIFA's role in Charlottesville.

Open up protesters appeared to be violent and shouted. They were armed with scary looking guns.

The peaceful BLM protestors just threw a few rocks and burned a few businesses. They are black and have been through a lot. Maybe not personally, but collectively.

Maybe because if they shot rubber bullets at people with AR 15s, they would not like the result. Also, no one is throwing rocks at the police and destroying property in the Michigan protest. That is the obvious difference.

It’s almost like one Is wanted/cheered and the other is unwanted/despised.
I wonder which one it is they want, I can’t tell because they are always so neutral in their coverage.

Remember the Tea Party protest which caused no damage and injured no one. They didn't even leave articles of trash on the ground. Yet the media was in full melt , working overtime to find the protesters or the signs which best fit their outrage meme. Remember New Orleans own Susan Roentgen working for CNN making a complete fool of herself and being confronted at one of the rallies. That may have been the start of the Fake News movement.
